Ferry trip from Dover to Dunkirk

After 3 days of wet, windy and wild weather, it was nice to wake up to a day like this for a ferry crossing.

It was a nice short drive to Dover. Ryan's words as we approached the ferry check-in: "It's nice to get here early and not rush. We can just enjoy it."

Our last photo on English soil...on this trip, anyway....

It was such a beautiful day on the water!!

Alex said it made him feel sick being outside, so refused to come pose for a photo.

He was happy to enjoy the view from inside though.

The ferry was quite empty and we had a great crossing. The boys spent most of their time watching Walking with Dinosaurs.

When we got to France we hopped on the motorway and went straight to Antwerp. Hitting Antwerp at 5:30 in the afternoon wasn't much fun, but we got to a very comfortable Novotel and could relax. It was a good day.
