Sissinghurst Castle

We had about 2 hours before we could check into our accommodation, with only a half hour drive to it after our visit to Bodiam Castle. Decided to squeeze in one more castle visit.

We couldn't go to the top, because it was too windy. Spent the rest of the time wandering through the world-famous gardens.

Inspecting and watching the pruning.

Hop drying towers from close up.
Of all the castles, abbeys, historical house and cottages we've been to, this place had the most foreign visitors. Tour bus after tour bus turned up. Not sure why, because there was really not much to see.
