Alba

Alba's most photographed landmarks are its red-brick towers. Originally built as monuments to the wealth and taste of the town's14th- and 15th-century nobility, only about 4 of the 100 remain today.

We didn't spend very long in Alba. We only had a half hour parking spot. Had a quick lunch and then went for a look around.

Cattedrale San Lorenzo
This great Romanesque cathedral, with its large bell tower, dates from the twelfth century. The final phase of renovation of this cathedral took place between 1868 and 1872.
