Cherry picking

In Spain we found some cherries in a supermarket at a reasonable price. The boys thought it was a real treat. They have been eating them whenever they were allowed. A few days later we got some more at a market...but they ran out pretty quick.

In France we bought more at a little farm stall and snacking on them in the car.

When we got to our B&B in Cantarana our host was pipping cherries for making cherry jam. I told him how much the boys loved cherries. He told us to just go for a walk up the road as there are cherry trees everywhere. We did and there was!!!

This morning the boys wanted to 'go for a run' and we found even more cherry trees. They had some mulberries too and we found some wild strawberries. Also blackberry bushes everywhere...but they were still in flower.  The boys want to stay here until the end of summer, or until the berries are ready.
