Lake Thun

 

 

After a long day of driving (because we kept stopping) we got to our Safari Tent at Manor Farm. The campground was on Lake Thun close to Interlaken.

After dinner we went down to the lake. The boys learnt how to make a stone bounce on the water.

The water was pretty cold  (about 11 'C) but who cares??

An otter came swimming past.

What a beautiful evening!! Finally left the lake at 9:30.

The next morning the boys went to perfect their new skills.

They found a swan to follow.... until the swan turned around.

The water was still pretty cold...

After lunch we went for a boat trip to Interlaken.

 

 

 

 

The colour of the water was amazing!!
It was a long weekend in Switzerland, and everyone seemed to be at the lake. Hundreds of people were parachuting everywhere.

 

 After a bus trip back to our camp ground it was definately time to go cool down at the lake again.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I wonder what the lake would've been like on a non-long weekend....
Even though it was very busy, we still really enjoyed this beautiful lake. The nice warm weather did help.
