Enjoying the food and drink of Europe

One of the best parts of this holiday is trying the different food and wine as we travel around.

Our first and probably best baguettes in France                                                                and our first bottle of wine

A visit to Lidl with wine on sale for Mothers Day

Salami went very well with Cabernet Sauvignon

Cheese, cheese and more cheese

A whole isle of just yoghurt....too hard to choose

Pizza and wine in the Dordogne region

Chocolate ice cream and wild strawberries we did not share with the kids

So much choice....

Some Italian sparkling wine

Bread for morning tea in Cannobio

Our one and only restaurant meal so far

Broke the corkscrew and had to use a 2nd one to open the wine. I miss screw tops.

I went to buy a new Swiss Army knife in Interlaken. The lady in the shop thought the boys were very cute and gave them some yummy Swiss chocolate for free. It was so warm it melted straight away.

Cooling down with some ice creams

Dinner

Using my new (very sharp) knife to cut some bread at a truck stop on the motorway in Switzerland

Breakfast at Bad Liebenzell

Following a 4-step process we sliced and bagged our own bread

Pretzels!!
Football mania has started...very yummy rolls we got at Lidl

More to follow as we travel on....
