A wet day in London

The plan was to go to London for the morning, and do some sightseeing with my parents. And then go and meet Matt when his Eurostar got back from Lille. There were a few clouds around when we left home, but when we got to the city it was very wet!!

We decided to go and walk over Tower Bridge. Probably not the best choice for such a wet day. It was so slippery and took forever to walk there.

We wondered if this 'Cleaning in Progress' sign always got put out on rainy days.

Even my waterproof camera wasn't doing very well in this weather...

Here the boys were measuring the circumference of this huge ball.

When we finally got to the other side of the bridge we went to the bus stop. We just wanted to get on a bus, any bus to get out of the rain.

The bus went straight past St Pauls Cathedral, but we couldn't face getting out in the rain again.

But then the bus terminated so we had to get off. Waited for the next bus and got onto that one. This was a new get-of-at-the-back bus...very fancy.

The rain eased a bit so we decided to go and have a look at Trafalgar Square. Saw a big blue chicken there. There was also some kind of protest, so we didn't stay long.

Next we went to Leicester Square to go and have a quick look at M&M World.

What a lot of M&Ms!!!

The boys got themselves scanned to find their colours. Ryan was dark green and Alex was black.

We then went down to the underground and then up again when we got to Kings Cross. The boys like these looong escalators.

We got to St Pancras station in time to see Matt's Eurostar come in. Two boys were happy to have their Daddy back.

Matt bought the boys some special France World Cup caps. I got a new top...

On  the way walking back home from the train station I saw a fox cross the road. Apparently there are lots of foxes in the area, but to me this is still an unusual site.
