Montacute House

We stopped at Montacute House as it was on the way and it was a National Trust property.
The boys had their lunch in the car and then played in the gardens while we had our lunch.

They had a look at the fish and cooled down in the mist of the fountain.

After that we went to look for the Ice House. Ryan got attacked by a stinging nettle. He was feeling very sorry for himself. Someone showed Alex which plant to use to relieve the burning. Alex very kindly went to pick some leaves and we put it on Ryan's leg.

Finally we were ready to go into the house...

There was an activity sheet for the boys to complete. Alex did that and Ryan did an animal search activity in every room.

We finished off the tour of the house in the longest Longroom in the country. The boys did a few portrait jigsaws and then we were off again...
