Madame Tussauds

Madame Tussauds was one of the places I've never been too on my previous trips to London. It is one of our Merlin Pass attractions, so I really wanted to go this time.
We probably didn't choose the best day to go...on a Sunday on the busiest sporting weekend the UK had for a while. It was the day before the Tour de France came through town, Wimbledon Final was on and also the British F1 Grand Prix. There seemed to be a lot of extra tourists in town...

We didn't think that the boys would find it particularly interesting, so told them that they would be able to see Iron Man. They were onboard straight away and very excited to go. Our passes gave us priority entry, but we still had to queue in the priority line for about 30 minutes. When we asked the boys if they would rather come back on another day, they said that they were OK with queuing, so we did.

And then we finally got in. Saw a few celebrities...

And a few sport stars...

We saw the queen...which was one of the things Ryan wanted to do in London. Now we just need to find One Direction...

We saw William Shakespear and Alfred Hitchcock....

Had a visit to 10 Downing Street, where we spotted Putin...

Popped in at the White House....

And said hi to Churchill and Tutu...

Went on a Black Cab ride through London...

And then we finally got to the super heroes....

Ended with a 4D show. We had special glasses on which made things fly at you. The chairs were vibrating and spraying you with water. Alex didn't like it at all but Ryan seemed to love it.

It was a fun morning out. And the boys seemed to it enjoy it much more than we expected. We might even go back on a quieter day.
