Nunney Castle and the frogs

We had an hour or so to fill in so we decided to go and look at Nunney Castle. As we walked in the gate someone showed us the frogs. There were hundreds of little froglets trying to climb up the wall surrounding the castle.

Alex started picking some up and helping them over the wall....

We finally went to have a look at the castle.

There wasn't much left of the castle.

It was then time to get back to the frogs.

The boys started to collect some to take to the other side of the wall, but soon they decided these frogs should come home with us. The filled the container with sticks and flowers and leaves. Ryan picked leaves for the frogs to use as beds...

It was only when we got home that we realised how many frogs they collected. It was at least a 100!!!

We had a quick look at the church next to the castle. The boys spent ages reading birth dates and ages on the head stones in the grave yard. Had a few questions about why some people die when they are only young...
