Chessington World of Adventures

One of the things we splashed out on for this part of the trip was a Merlin Annual Family Pass. This gives us entry to a whole lot attractions.
We decided to go to Chessington on a Monday morning outside the school holidays to avoid the crowds. That didn't work - there were thousands of people!!

After queuing for about 15 minutes we went on the Safari Train. It was quite nice to get an overview of the park.

Next we went to the Hocus Pocus Hall. We got to wear special glasses and walked through the house. At the end we had to get through a mirror maze - much trickier than the one at MOTAT.

We had a look at the aquarium.

The boys went on the Amazu Treetop Adventure over the monkey enclosures. I watched this little baby spider monkey. This was also a good place for a lunch stop.

The boys decided that Creepy Caves weren't very creepy at all.

We went through the zoo.

My arms are much shorter than a gorilla's
We went to a Madagascar Live show.

Next we went on Toadie's Crazy Cars. It was only a 5 minute wait for this, so we did this one 3 times.
This was lots of fun!

Matt and the boys went on the Carousel.

I then did Tiny Truckers with the boys. This was not really worth the 20 minute wait.

We had a quick look at the Children's Zoo.
Testing how sharp the horns are

We then used our vouchers to buy Fastrack vouchers for Bubbleworks. That meant we could skip the 30 minute queue...
We got only a little bit wet.

We didn't buy the 10 pound photo.

The boys found some bubbles to chase. This icecream seller used bubbles to bring the kids closer and then sell icecream to them. Alex thought it was a good sales technique.

The 23 km drive home took more than an hour and a half. Made for a pretty long day out.
